welcome! we are so excited to celebrate with you at the beach! whether you received a postcard announcement or you’ve made it here another way, we would love for you to join us on the beach July 13th anytime between 10am and 3pm in celebration of our marriage! this is a casual, informal gathering.

the lake has played such a large role in forming who we are both as individuals and as a couple. we will be celebrating our union along the water at city beach in grand haven, michigan.

this is the beach alex grew up frequenting in all seasons, and it's the first place hannah really saw the transformative beauty and power in that water.

anyone is welcome, for as short or long amount of time as you prefer. we'll have some snacks, but you can bring some too. come as you would to any beach day - bring a towel and beach setup (tent, umbrella, whatever makes you happy). we'll be hanging out, relaxing, and spending quality time with each other and with the water all weekend long.

what should i wear?

this is not a formal event, or a ceremony, so please wear whatever swimsuit or outdoor attire that you're comfortable in.

am i expected to a gift?

you are not. however, we have a registry here.

your presence is a gift in of itself.

isn't alex irish? won't he burn?

likely yes, but there'll be sunscreen. feel free to bring what you need.

​

will there be alcohol?

technically, there is no alcohol allowed on the beach. but what a man or woman chooses to put in their covered water bottles is their own private business.

where should i stay?

we recommend checking out airbnb (click here) in grand haven before booking an actual hotel.
