this is our 100th post! it’s not much of a milestone, but it is something. i am so proud of us for our discipline, consistency, and collaborative creation in this little space. it has been such a gift. it is a joy to share about ourselves and our lives here, but we aren’t posting as much because we are working on a plan to share it and build a community around all we have learned. we don’t have much figured out yet, but you’ll know when we do.

a: last week, and a few weeks previous, have been a whirlwind. there’s a lot going on and it feels like too much to manage.

to curb these feelings, moonbeam and i both thought it’d be best for the long term of the blog to take it easy & take everything as it comes. and if we needed to get something done, just giving it the softest push was the only approach we’d make.

despite feeling overwhelmed, 6 episodes of survivor later, we made some major ground this weekend on the community element of this blog that we’re more and more excited about by the day. this weekend was just what we needed, even though it wasn’t quite what we wanted. we made progress and i’m grateful for that.

h:

i made my first ever batch of cookies from scratch yesterday! i don’t bake because i feel like if i am going to invest time and energy into making food, it should be real food. i also don’t own any baking tools, so i never really thought to try. but last night, as flurries fell, all i wanted was warm and gooey oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. i was actually so surprised and proud of how good they were! it definitely wasn’t fast, but they were worth it.
