"the whole year you go through this sort of wild transformation around you and inside you and everything.
fall comes around and it’s like this brilliant death to the year.
this really bright, sort of gorgeousness. the space and the air; its simple, its honest.
and deeply woven to with what’s the vibe is here in the midwest. there’s something sacred going on, and i can understand it."

the fall is among many things, a time for rest. a time to settle. a time for acceptance. and yes, death. there's a real beauty in the end. the pain. the brewing bitter cold. the reset. without it, we have no idea, whether the figures on the wall are real or just shadows. fall is transition actualized. for much of our upbringing, the season has always been a time for family. activities built on stillness. as we grow into adulthood and we built our own customs & traditions, autumn feels the least likely to deviate from our childhood, long walks with leaves under us, daylight camp fires huddled with cider & donuts and trips to apple orchard to gaze. it's the midwest. through and through. our autumn playlist pretends to be this, but like the season it is many things, but firstly, it’s simple; it’s honest.
