all day outside, coming home exhausted, smelling of sunscreen & lake water. this is the time to be alive in the city of chicago. everything is ready. it's dirty. it's sweaty. it's fast. it's fun. we wake with the sun, and we stay up long after it's set. it's energetic, intense, and a reminder that life is short. music in our summer's spent together have always inspired movement. it prepares us to get out of bed, or get off the couch, and hop on our bikes. so here's the music we hang up our hammock to, and return to after we've had a refreshing swim.

an additional thought :: if you don't have a hammock yet, you should get one because they are amazing. our hammock is from high hopes. they are a great organization to support because for every hammock they sell, they help someone facing homelessness. we've had ours for a year and it is amazingly durable, machine washable, and very packable. it comes in a little sack with everything you need to hang it, and it's foolproof to hang. we fit pretty comfortably in one together, and it's changed the way we spend time outside together.
